Ellen Doss of Petersburg passed this life on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the age of 69. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4-6 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Shiloh Community Center in Dellrose, TN. Ellen, a native of Lincoln County, was the daughter of the late Carl Wilson and Patti Curtis Smith. She loved being with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed being outdoors, flower gardening and going to creeks and rivers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph, Tommy and Paul Douglas Smith and stepson, Timothy Marshall. She is survived by life partner, Billy Joe Marshall of Petersburg; son, Chris Doss and his wife, Leanne of Petersburg; daughters, Cathy Patterson and her husband, Kyle and Tammy Hillis, both of Fayetteville; brothers, Steve Smith and his wife, Pat of Annandale, VA and Sloan Smith and his wife, Kay of Dellrose; sisters, Marie Bevels of Pulaski and Patricia Knott and Brenda Anderson, both of Fayetteville; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
