Jeffery Woods

Jeffery Woods (61) passed from this life on April 23, 2022 at Vanderbilt Bedford Hospitial in Shelbyville. Jeff was born on February 5, 1961 in Huntland, Tennessee. He was the third oldest of four siblings to Clyde and Lucille (Decker) Woods. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lynchburg and a proud member of the Southern Perks Coffee Club. In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Woods. He is survived by his mother, Lucille (Decker) Woods of Flintville, brothers Johnny (Darlene) Woods and Shane (Linda) Woods of Lynchburg, sister Genavee Woods Owens of Flintville. He is also survived by his fiancé Sarah Gore and daughter Shena Woods of Lynchburg, step-children Dakota (Jondrea) Goins and Shanna (Derek) Goins of Lynchburg, and granddaughters Journey Fox and Makinley Fanning. He is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church of Lynchburg (177 Mechanic Street N) on Sunday May 1st from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are sent to his memorial fund at Jack Daniel Employees’ Credit Union to help cover hospital bills and funeral expenses.
