Mr. John D. Logan

November 29, 1949 - December 2, 2016

Mr. John D. “Johnny” Logan, 67, passed away surrounded by his family at his residence in Lynchburg, Tennessee on Dec. 2, 2016. He was born to the late Fred and Christabel Ingle Logan on Nov. 29, 1949 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. He was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Lynchburg. Johnny retired from Jack Daniels Distillery and held a B.S. Degree in Animal Science. He loved to farm and was an avid sports fan especially UT football and the Moore County Raiders. For over 20 years he was a member of the “Chain Gang” at Moore County High School. He is survived by his wife Rose and sons Jeffery Logan and his wife Autumn of Tullahoma, Tennessee and Chris Logan and his wife Shea of Lynchburg. A daughter, Megan Smith and her husband Seth of Lynchburg also survive along with seven grandchildren. His brother Dan Logan and his wife Deborah of Lynchburg survive. Visitation with family members will be at the Main Street Church of Christ, 376 Main St., Lynchburg TN on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Bro. Richard Logan will office ate a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016 from the church. Interment will follow at Booneville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Camp Joy, P.O. Box 8192, Lynchburg, Tennessee 37352. For online guest registry please visit www.lynchburgfuneralhome.com.
