Rexie L. Hicks Sr. Rexie L Hicks Sr of Fayetteville, was called home on Tuesday July 12, 2022 at the age of 82. He was born in Fayetteville, Tn to the late John Hicks & Marrie Rice Hicks. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by 2 sons, Timothy & Bobby; 2 granddaughters, Stephanie & Shay; Sisters, Minnie Pearl & Bessie Mae; Brothers, John Jr, Marvin, William, Ollie, Buck & Bubba. He was also proceeded in death by the mother of his 6 sons, Sammie Mae Hicks Wells. He leaves to cherish his memory, 4 sons. Lil Rexie Jr & Stevie (Betty) of Petersburg Tn, Tracy (Alvina) of Houston Tx, & Jeffery (Stephanie) of Fayetteville Tn.; 18 Grandchildren, Jamie, Rexie III, Ivory, Rexie, Lil Bobby, Michelle, Ivory, Calvin, Kevin, Tracy (Jewelz), DaQuan, Marcus, Lil Stevie, Dominique, Aaliyah, Kierra, Xayvion & Xamarion. Mr. Hicks also had 29 Great-grandchildren & 3 Great-Great grandchildren. He also leaves daughter in law, Tammy Hicks of Fayetteville, close friend of the family for the last 40 years, Charlotte May of Fayetteville & close friend of the family, Betty Moore of Knoxville. Mr. Hicks had a lot of nieces & nephews that he loved as well. Some still with us & some gone before him. Willie B, Joe, Calvin, Teresa, Annette, Bill, Betty, El, Janette, Nell, Eddie, Ida, Brenda, Angie, Joyce, Danny, Mike, Gladys, Boonie, Lassie, William, Marjane, David, Dianne, Dicky, John T, Arthur, Joel, Neicy, Jean ,Connie, Sue, Marvin, Sharon and Pearl. He enjoyed fishing, riding around town, going out to eat & BBQing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was loved by all who knew him & will be missed by everyone.
